What kilishi actually is
West Africa's original dried beef, and almost nothing like American jerky beyond the animal. Cut thin, worked by hand, dried slowly — days rather than hours. The seasoning goes through the meat instead of sitting on top of it.
Allergens
Contains peanuts and soy. Peanut is part of what makes kilishi kilishi — there's no version of this that's safe for a peanut allergy, and we'd rather say that plainly than bury it. The full ingredient statement is on the back of every pack.
